How To Take Care Of Your Stanton International Furniture

Your Stanton International sofa can remain beautiful and continue to give superior comfort for many years. Please follow these steps to ensure that the quality of your sofa lasts a lifetime.

  • Do not attempy to close a sleeper unit with sheets, bedspreads, blankets, or pillows on the mattress as this can cause failure of the sleeper unit and will void sleeper warranty.
  • Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight.
  • Turn loose cushions periodically.
  • Vacuum and brush sofa lightly to prevent surface dirt from being trapped in fabric.
  • Exposed wood should be dusted as needed with a clean, lint-free absorbent cloth.
  • To clean wood parts, use a soft, damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild soap solution and rinse clean, cool water. Dry with a soft cloth.
  • For extra protection of exposed wood parts, use a light application of high quality furniture polish, rubbing with the grain. When dry, buff with a soft cloth.
  • Wood scratches and nicks can be touched up with a crayon, shoe polish, or touch-up stick.

General Care of Leather Upholstery

  • Keep leather looking new with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Wipe spots with a clean cloth and lukewarm water.
  • If stain persists, use a mild soap and dry excess moisture with a clean cloth.
  • Never allow spills to set.
  • Never use detergents or alcohol-based products to clean spots.
  • All natural leather may fade if placed in direct sunlight.
  • Never place near radiator or other heating source.
  • Do not use commercial leather cleaner.

Stanton International Warranty

Here you will find information regarding warranty information for Stanton International. You can find the entire version of the warranty and services Stanton International provides. View the Stanton International warranty page for more information.

Lifetime Limited Warranty - Frame and Spring Seat Base

Stanton International warrants the frame and spring seat base to be free from defects in material and workmanship under conditions of normal use as long as you, the original purchaser, own this product.

Lifetime Limited Warranty - Seat Cushions

Stanton warrants the seat cushions against loss of foam resiliency as long as you, the original purchaser, own this product. Please do not confuse loss of foam resiliency with softening. Cushions will soften through normal use and conform to the users shape. This is normal and is not considered a defect. Stanton holds no responsibility for labor to replace or fill cushion covers or cores. Stanton warrants feathers for one year from date of purchase. You must return the feather label to validate warranty.

Five Year Limited Warranty - Leather

Stanton International warrants the leather to be free from defects and workmanship which includes seam slippage, cracking and dye transfers for a period of five years from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required. This warranty is made to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable to subsequent owners. Leather in its natural state will have variations in color, markings, and grain and these are not to be considered defects under this warranty. Additionally, claims due to cuts, burns, pet damage, and stains from any substance or chemical will be denied. Exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, excessive soiling, abuse or improper cleaning will void this warranty.

Have a question about anything on this page?

I have two love seats with the springs at the base so loose that when you seat , you end up sinking in almost to the ground. These love seats are about five or six years old. They look good but are not longer comfortable. What's the best way to repair or restore them?
Lupita Asked On 25 September, 2011 05:37:17 PM

The first step may be to contact the company that you originally purchased from or the manufacturer directly to see if the problem falls under a covered manufacturer warranty.  If not, then you may want to try www.findfurnituremedic.com to see if a professional furniture repair company may be able to help.

How do you get new springs as I have the same problem?
Maggie Barnard Asked On 27 December, 2011 05:41:56 AM

If you purchased your sofa from us please contact our Claims Department at claims@gowfb.com or call our office. If you didn't, the first step is to contact the store where you first purchased the item or contact Stanton International. If that doesn't work try the website mentioned above so that you can see if it's possible to repair the issue.

Can you purchase the wooden little legs on the couches separately??? I have brand new couches but a puppy that chewed the wood ):
CDRENNEN Asked On 21 January, 2012 07:46:47 PM

We should be able to order parts from the manufacturer but only if you purchased your couch with us. Please call our office for more information. If you did not purchase your couch from our site, try contacting Stanton directly or the original retailer for help.

I also have the same problem with the sofa & love seat that I bought. I have had mine for almost 4 years. They hyped up their lifetime warranty-only to find out that it is pretty much worthless. The store I bought mine from is no longer in business and I live in WA. I loved this set when I bought it and paid quite a bit for it thinking it was a quality product with a warranty to back it up. Obviously I was wrong.

We're sorry to hear you have had trouble with your Stanton Sofa. It's always important to read and understand any given manufacturer's warranty as they tend to be very specific about what is covered and what uses or circumstances void the warranty. It's always tricky with furniture and most manufacturers have a strict code of what constitutes normal wear and use. If your looking to find a new sofa, feel free to browse our site for other manufacturers that may be a better fit, if you call our office we can always look up a specific manufacturer warranty before you buy.

You shouldn't have to replace a sofa after 4 years. The springs are shot & the cushions sink clear to the bottom when you sit on them. Yes, I understand normal wear and use. They are both in good condition, they just are obviously not very well made. & yes-believe me, I will read all of the warranty next time & not just the BIG sticker that says Limited LIFETIME warranty.

I agree. I will passing this information regarding our Stanton Sofa's to our sales team so they can give an honest opinion to customers. We don't currently have any of their sofa's in our store or warehouse for us to see the quality ourselves. We appreciate your feedback, please let us know if we can ever help you with your furniture needs.

I purchased a micro suede sectional sofa in 2007 with down feathers in the cushions. As I was redistributing the feathers, I noticed that the casing that holds the foam and feathers was ripping as the seams. Is it possible that Stanton will replace the casing? I love my sofa and have enjoyed it's comfort.
Anonymous Asked On 25 March, 2012 10:39:11 AM
It depends if Stanton considers the ripping to be normal wear and tear. For full details, view Stanton's Warranty Information. If you purchased this sectional from us in 2007 we can help you find out if your cushion falls under the Stanton Warranty and submit a claim on your behalf, if it does not fall under the warranty we can help you work with Stanton to replace the cushion. Unfortunately, if you did not purchase your Stanton sofa from us you will need to contact the original retailer or Stanton Sofa's directly. Feel free to call our office for more information or help with a claim.

I just received our couch and ottoman, but noticed there is no paperwork on them, not for how to care for fabric or if any Scotch-guard was applied, etc. Usually I have received something ??
Donna Barthuly Asked On 12 April, 2012 06:32:19 AM
Hello Donna, If you ordered from us, we can certainly help you figure out the details and request information to be sent to you from Stanton. I checked our system and didn't see an order with your name but if was placed under a different name, that's no problem, just call our office. If you didn't order from us, I recommend contacting the retailer from whom you ordered or checking out Stanton's site for contact and product care information.
