The Retro II Platform Bedroom Furniture Set by Lifestyle Solutions features a wide footboard with low legs, giving the bed that classic low profile design. The cappuccino finish of the Retro II platform bed allows it to match a number of case good collections. The clean lines of this contemporary bedroom set were inspired by a period of fun and modern designs. The Lifestyle Solutions bedroom set comes with a queen Retro II platform bed and 500 Series additional items including 500 6 drawer dresser, 500 mirror, and 500 nightstand. A 5 drawer chest is available in the available options above, as well as King size and California (Cal) King bed sizes. A boxspring is not required on this bed.

Design:

13 Slats, Center Support Rail, and 4 Center Support Legs.
Slats are 3" wide each and screw into the side rails for added support.
Mattress can be placed on bed with or without a boxspring foundation.

How do we go about assembling the pieces together? Also, what if any of the pieces get damaged during the shipping?

The case goods (Dresser, Nightstand, etc) are assembled already, you just need to attach the hardware. The bed is the only piece that requires assembly and the assembly instructions will be included with the product when you receive it. If you would like to have the furniture set up for you, please choose the "White Glove" delivery option when checking out. The delivery company will place the furniture in the room of your choice, complete all the set up, as well as remove the boxes and packaging. We ship this product with a specialty freight carrier so damages are rare, but if they occur don’t worry, we’ll take care of you. All we ask is to be notified immediately with pictures. Check our policies for more details.

The set is made of a mixture of solid hardwood and real wood veneers. The hardwood pieces are used for all of the support pieces, such as the slats, legs, and drawers. However, hardwood can crack over time so some of the larger pieces that don't add integral support are made with veneers.

Unfortunately, this bed only comes in Queen, Eastern King, and California King sizes. No Full size is available.

Are the bottoms of the drawers that cheap, thin pressed wood or are they solid wood as well, I've had bad luck with the cheap drawer bottoms with them warping and eventually come out of the grooves inside the drawer. Also the track that runs along the bottom of the drawer how is it attatched, just simply stapled in or is it nailed or screwed?

I have recieved a response from the manufacturer. The drawers are made of solid wood and the track is not stapled.
